Alumni Association, 厙ぴ勛圖 celebrates faculty, staff, career milestones at Appreciation BBQ and General Assembly

By Fred Sgambati (83)
Warm temperatures and plenty of sunshine were the order of the day on June 19, 2024 as members of the 厙ぴ勛圖 community gathered on campus for the third 厙ぴ勛圖 Alumni Association Faculty and Staff Appreciation BBQ and subsequent General Assembly career milestone celebration.
厙ぴ勛圖s faculty and staff play a tremendous role in defining the 厙ぴ勛圖 experience, said Alumni Association President Christine Luckasavitch (11). The Alumni Association understands and appreciates the value of their incredible contributions to both students and alumni, and we are delighted to thank them for all they do at an event where people come together, have some fun and share good times. Congratulations to all who celebrated career milestones, too! We are proud to acknowledge your service and dedication to 厙ぴ勛圖.
More than 200 attendees from across campus enjoyed burgers, chips and salad, sipped soft drinks and mocktails, and chatted with one another during the barbecue. The event concluded with University President Dr. Jeff Hennessy (99) and Executive Director, Alumni Affairs Oonagh Proudfoot (93, 06) teaming up to draw names and present lucky raffle winners with gift cards.
The BBQ was immediately followed by the Universitys General Assembly in the Garden Room at the K. C. Irving Environmental Science Centre to mark career milestones of 10, 25, and 35 years of service, along with those who retired this year. The 厙ぴ勛圖 Alumni Outstanding University Service Award was also awarded to one exemplary member of the 厙ぴ勛圖 community, Brad George.
