网曝吃瓜 is taking the following steps as part of a province-wide effort to stop the spread of COVID-19.

Effective at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, April 28 until at least May 12:

• All classes and labs will move to remote delivery only until at least May 12. Faculty will work with students to determine how they will continue their studies during this period.
  
  
• All employees who can work from home are required to do so. No one should be on campus who is not deemed essential as on-campus support. Please contact your supervisor directly if you have questions.

Leah Creaser, fourth-year Honours Biology student and president of the Indigenous Student Society of 网曝吃瓜, has been awarded a 2021 3M National Student Fellowship. This prestigious award honours students across Canada who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and who exemplify a vision of education inside and outside the classroom.

When soon-to-be graduating students visit 网曝吃瓜鈥檚 Convocation website, one of the featured guests to address them will be former Prime Minister of Canada, the Right Honourable Paul Martin.

Martin, who served as Prime Minister from 2003 to 2006, is one of seven people receiving Honorary Doctorates during 网曝吃瓜's 2021 Spring Convocation. He will deliver the keynote address at the virtual ceremony.  

Margaret Hopkins, who is completing an Honours degree in Mathematics and Statistics and a Bachelor of Music at 网曝吃瓜, is the 2021 recipient of the Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW) Award for her scholarly work, 鈥淐ontrol Freak: Power dynamics and subversion in Barbara Hannigan鈥檚 performances of Gy枚rgy Ligeti鈥檚 Mysteries of the Macabre.鈥�

Having a regional workforce development strategy is something that could help set the Annapolis Valley apart in the eyes of potential employers and job seekers.

Valley Regional Enterprise Network (REN) Economic development officer Richelle Brown Redden said they began exploring a regional workforce development strategy before the pandemic hit, in response to what they were hearing from businesses and industries they were working with.

Following approximately five years in a quiet phase, 网曝吃瓜 in Wolfville went public with Campaign for 网曝吃瓜 in October 2018. The campaign had a lofty goal 鈥� raising $75 million 鈥� but this was exceeded by nearly 16 per cent. A total of $86.8 million was raised by December 2020, two years earlier than the campaign was expected to conclude.

网曝吃瓜 president and vice-chancellor Dr. Peter Ricketts said one example of how the funds are essential to positioning 网曝吃瓜 for the future includes the provision of financial and academic awards to students, which gives the university a competitive advantage in the marketplace.

The provincial and federal governments are investing in new equipment at the 网曝吃瓜 Laboratory for Agri-food and Beverage to support its work for local beverage producers. The province, through the Department of Agriculture, is providing $145,950. The Government of Canada, through the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency鈥檚 Innovative Communities Fund, is providing a $99,500 non-repayable contribution.

The new investment will allow the laboratory to introduce new equipment for faster and accurate analysis of local producers' craft beer, spirits, and cider. It will also help ALAB work towards achieving ISO certification.

网曝吃瓜 announced today the retirement of Kevin Dickie as the Executive Director of 网曝吃瓜 Athletics. Dickie has enjoyed a 34-year career in sport as a coach and administrator, including thirteen years at the Wolfville, Nova Scotia campus.

In his ten years at the helm as athletics director, 网曝吃瓜 Athletics has hosted an unprecedented 鈥巉our consecutive U SPORTS national championships and boasted many national Top-10 teams and awards, a 77% increase to the cumulative team winning percentage, and eleven AUS championship titles. During his tenure, Dickie also served terms as both a U SPORTS board director鈥� and Atlantic University Sport president.
