Convocation celebrations under way
ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï Convocation events are under way with nearly 800 students set to receive their degrees in the faculties of Theology, Arts, Pure and Applied Science, and Professional Studies. On May 11 and 12 the University will honour its graduands and award honorary degrees to five individuals who have made outstanding contributions in their communities and beyond.
A Baccalaureate Service is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Sunday, May 11 in Convocation Hall. Guest speaker is Rev. Dr. Peter L. Reid (‘95), Executive Minister of the Convention of Atlantic Baptist Churches.
ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï Chancellor Libby Burnham (’60) will preside over her fourth Convocation during three ceremonies schedule for Sunday, May 11 and Monday, May 12.
Each of the Convocation ceremonies will be live-streamed on ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï’s .
Following Convocation, participants and their guests are invited to join the ÍøÆØ³Ô¹Ï community in the Sheldon L. Fountain Learning Commons for a reception.
