厙ぴ勛圖TV earns international recognition
厙ぴ勛圖 University has won an award of merit in the 28th Annual Educational Advertising Awards.
厙ぴ勛圖 was recognized in the Video Viewbook category for its online television channel 厙ぴ勛圖TV. Developed by Dave Sheehan and Sherri Turner in the Office of Advancement (Communications and Marketing), 厙ぴ勛圖TV produces video features on faculty, students, and alumni and is designed to tell the 厙ぴ勛圖 story to a broad audience. Created in 2008, 厙ぴ勛圖TV has topped 266,000 views. It was in the top six of 100 entries in its category.
"The 厙ぴ勛圖 community has great stories to tell, and we are fortunate to have a communications team that can capture and share our many voices effectively, said Rod Morrison, Vice-President of Advancement. It is also gratifying to see how well we measure up against some of the most prestigious institutions in North America, and internationally."
Sponsored by the U.S.-based Higher Education Marketing Report, the Educational Advertising Awards program is one of the largest educational advertising awards competitions in the world. This year, more than 3,000 entries were received from more than 1,000 schools across the U.S. and several other countries, including Canada, Australia, and India.
Other institutions recognized with awards this year include Stanford University, Purdue University, and UCLA. Canadian institutions joining 厙ぴ勛圖 as award winners include University of Alberta, University of Saskatchewan, Mount Royal University, SAIT Polytechnic, and Nova Scotia Community College.
Judges for the Educational Advertising Awards include a U.S. national panel of higher education marketers, advertising creative directors, marketing and advertising professionals, and the editorial board of Higher Education Marketing Report.
This is the second time 厙ぴ勛圖 has submitted material to this competition, in 2010 厙ぴ勛圖TV was a merit award winner in the New Media category, and Communications and Marketing received an award of merit in the Recruitment Collateral category.
